WELCOME to my first attempt to create a web page!  These poems and inspiring words are being shared with the hope that they might bring a spark of encouragement to fellow Christians who want to use their own God-given talents to glorify our Lord Jesus, and hopefully, prayerfully, the Holy Spirit will use something here to heal a broken heart, bring peace to a troubled spirit, or perhaps lift a wounded soul unto Himself.  ENJOY what you read, and by all means "if today you hear God's voice, do not harden your heart." Let Jesus be your Savior and Lord! You will never regret the love, the joy, the peace and confidence He will give to you!

GIVE ME MORE OF YOU Oh God, grant my request Help me pass life's trials and tests Give me strength to overcome my weaknesses; Make me more like Christ, my Lord Jesus Oh God, grant my heart's desire, That the dross of my life might be lost in Your fire. Give me courage to walk by faith ever higher; Mold me, shape me, make Yours my desire. Oh God, grant my desperate plea; Help me stand and fight to remain free! Give me everything You know I need... Make my life a sacrifice for all to see. Oh God, grant me Your forgiveness, Help me love You more and love me less; Give me wisdom to deny my flesh, Make me more like Christ, my Lord Jesus. Oh God, grant me my heart's desire; Forever close my eyegate to my enemy,the Liar Give my spirit wings, Lord take me higher; Transform me, conform me, make Your will my desire. Oh God, grant this prayer of mine: Help me become a man of God, in this life of limited time. Give me joy and let Your glory shine! Make me more like Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth, the Life!

A GIFT FROM ABOVE A gift is offered from above: A heart full of love, Reaching out to the world Telling others what I've heard: The message of grace; Jesus Christ is the only Way! Set free in the truth, Love, joy peace and other fruit: Gentleness, faithfulness, self-control; Healing for a wayward soul. But beware the bait from below: Addictive chains that won't let go... Indulge yourself in every sin... The lie you see is temptation: Pride is simply nature's call for you to buy the whitewash of man's great fall. . . Adam merely followed Eve. Oh, the tangled webs we weave! Stuck in this, our emotional state We love to nurse resentment and hate, waiting for the other party to dare and try to say " I'm sorry." Thinking that's all it takes to end the fight... Hiding your true hurt feelings out of sight. Darkness wants to be the light of man: And it is working as hard as it can To earn you the love that God has freely given... Trying to get you to ensure your own place in Heaven. Release your enslaved mind and believe, Break open your clenched fists and be set free... Your dead heart won't begin to live and feel Until the ugly scars of pride begin to heal. Let your broken heart receive Christ's love:  Grace is a gift, offered to you From God above.

THE KINGDOM IS HERE The holy tongue of revelation Is in the mouths of babes today, Singing praises unto God in heaven; Calling men and women to obey. The holy God of all creation Is preparing His triumphant return, It's time to choose your final destination; Will you be alive with God, or go to hell and burn? Look around and see the signs; The final stage is set, If you haven't given your soul wholly to Satan's lies, There's still time to accept Jesus Christ and repent. Tell Jesus that you love Him now For dying on a cross for you, Tell God you Believe in Him by faith, Somehow Christ will make your dreams come true. With every ounce of strength you can offer, Count on Jesus to break the world's mold; Bow your heart in total surrender, Lift up holy hands and you will know. Our Father, God, will add your name to His Book of Life; He will cleanse and save your soul. The Kingdom is all around you now; Everywhere you look! All your senses have been empowered With a new life that Glory shook! Touch your world with His Love! Place your hands upon your weary brother, Heal sickness, and with authority cast out demons. Hold your sister up to Jesus, Let Him show them what it's like to be whole again!

THE VOICE OF GOD UNDER THE THUNDER THE AWESOME TRUTH ROLLS ACROSS MY CONSCIENCE SHAKING MY WILL TO THE CORE OF MY BEING, BREAKING THE SILENCE, RAKING THE FOREST OF MY SINFUL PRIDE, CREATING THE STIILLNESS WHERE I LOVE TO HIDE; PRAISING MY FATHER FOR HIS PERFECT LOVE, THANKING MY SAVIOR FOR ENDURING THE CROSS; KNOWING THE VOICE I HEAR IS HOLY.

FOCUS: LOVE IN SERVICE The Liberty I was blinded to came clear to me this morning; The road to Freedom I've been searching for is a highway of service, rejoicing and/or mourning. The truth that I've been tracking brought me to the foot of Jesus' cross; The only way to get there is through pain, humility and loss. The Life which I've been seeking belongs completely to my Savior, Christ the Lord; Who gave Himself to rescue me. To follow in His footsteps I must take up my cross each morning and forget about me. Other people's needs come into focus when I truly set my eyes on Jesus. From the start of His ministry, Jesus called people to follow Him; They gave up everyone they knew, and everything they trusted in. The Light that I've been looking for has finally met my eyes; The reason I live is to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to lost and desperate lives. We have no greater life to live than the one Christ modeled for us; We have no better gift to give than a heart of love in service.

MY KIND OF GOD The kind of Peace I'm pursuing is... His Righteousness and Glory; A Judge Who rightly divides evil and truth, A Teacher Who knows eternity's majestic song. The kind of Love I'm searching for is... The Good Shepherd of His Sheep, The Way, A Servant Who gave Himself for others; The Author and Finisher of my faith. The kind of Joy I'm looking for is... A holy King Who is not afraid to dance, The Morning Star, the Dayspring, the Word of Life; A gracious Redeemer Who longs to give another chance. The kind of Life I'm living for is... The Resurrection and the Light, A Leader Who is worth following; A Warrior Who fought and won the good fight. The kind of God I'm seeking is... A Lord Whose precious Blood has set me free, An adored Friend Who gave His life on a cross; A risen Savior Who rose from death to rescue me.
